Coming up with the theme for UNIV-CON Seven was an interesting “Journey” in itself. The conference was ready to become something more, something bigger, and something more respected. Symbolically, it was time for the conference to change. It was time to move in a new direction. Looking back at previous conferences, the journey that UNIV-CON has made over the years was monumental. A small little conference from Penn State University had grown to become one of the largest and most influential conferences in the nation, however, the goals of the conference had always fallen short of its true potential. This year would mark the start of something new.

The seven paths/journeys were created…

This year, UNIV-CON wants to represent the field of the paranormal community in a way that is more personal. Each guest and attendee will experience and learn from UNIV-CON differently from the other, but how could we represent this idea with a single theme? That answer comes in the number seven. Coincidentally, it is also the seventh year for UNIV-CON; therefore the number seven holds a lot of symbolism for this year’s conference. We have chosen seven paths that will lead to the ultimate destination…The Undiscovered Country. Each path is a personal journey, a road that will lead them in their quest for knowledge and truth.

Each path you choose will hold a different experience and meaning than that of someone else. We want each person to create their own meaning of the paths they choose to help them explore and discover within themselves the answers that they seek. Each path is not only essential in our search for answers of the unknown, but in our own lives as well. Take the first step and choose your path…

The Challenge:

UNIV-CON was created to become something much more than your average paranormal conference. With so many different conferences being created, UNIV-CON did not want to become monotonous, like so many before and after have become. We have always known which direction UNIV-CON was heading and have been anticipating it for many years. We are now ready to take the next step, but the question still remains. Is the paranormal community ready to take that step? More importantly, are you ready to take the next step? Your journey begins here…
