What Goes Bump in the Night?
UNIV-CON will offer a full night of ghost hunting across the Penn State campus on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each night will be led by different UNIV-CON speakers such as Chip Coffey and Patrick Burns. Penn State has one of the biggest campuses in the nation with over 150 years of history.
Two years ago, Lou Gentile made the claim, "if it's haunted, I'll get an E.V.P." He proved himself correct before dozens of witnesses by recording eerie voices in some of Penn State's biggest haunts. Last year, Chris Fleming and other investigators claimed that they made contact with...something.
The goal of ghost hunting is first and foremost, education. Various investigators and speakers will share their viewpoints on how to look for paranormal activity. It will also be a fun way to put what you've learned at the conference "to the test."
Whether you're an investigator, student or paranormal enthusiast, you will have the opportunity to go along with Chris and others to investigate. Can you handle it?
In November 1969, Penn State student Betsy Aardsma was found dead in the mammoth stacks of the Pattee Library. To this day, no one knows who killed her. Legend now speaks of a spirit who roams the stacks at night who reenacts Betsy's death. Can the spirit of Betsy be summoned so that she might tell us who killed her? Is a name from an EVP all that stands in the way of putting this mystery to rest? Find out this October.
